On 16 July 2023, the catalogue for the exhibition ‘My Rhino is Not a Myth’ was published. It was preceded by a long publication process, which we worked on together as collective artistic directors.
The concept of the catalogue extends the physical exhibition of the Biennale. Each artist was given a double page that included a description of the work shown, but also artistically expanded on the idea behind the work. These ‘artistic contributions’ in the form of additional visual material, lyrics, essays or reflections further developed the basic idea of the exhibition to create artistic-science-fictions.
