The Art Encounters Biennial is a cross between an experimental art festival and a biennial for contemporary art. Its fifth edition will take place in 2023, and Timișoara, its venue, will simultaneously be the European Capital of Culture. 

In the months leading up to the opening in May 2023, the curator, Adrian Notz, and the curatorial board will develop a concept that brings together all those interfaces of art, science and technology. Science fiction will become a tool to put the different fields into dialogue and to create new fictions around them.
