Co-founding the Public Fiction Group, a transdisciplinary practice for alternative realities.
The Public Fiction Group was born out of a dissatisfaction with projects in the contemporary art field that incorporate social issues but remain in the realm of mere artistic gesture or protest. The P.F.G. is set up as a transdisciplinary project that uses artistic means but goes beyond the art field. We do not want to create art, but realities.
The activities of the P.F.G. are arranged in one-year cycles. Different phases alternate, which are intended for the research, topic identification and determination of the actors, but also for the artistic examination of the set topic field. The goal is to playfully interrupt things as they are and to rearrange them as they should be. With the help of artistic and imaginative methods, ideas of a different reality emerge in each cycle, which is inserted into the living space. These public fictions no longer interpret reality, but rather imagine it and contribute to its realization.
