The publication «Dear Earth,– Beziehungsweisen mit und auf der Erde» was created as part of the 2023–24 theme of the ‘Ventiquattro’ graduating class and was published in June 2024 at the ‘I Never Read’ art book fair in Basel. Students and staff explored the complex interrelationships between globalisation, networking, climate change, extraction, our treatment of the environment and the role of humans in it.

The bilingual publication was edited by Matthias Böttger, Anna Laederach, Ann Mbuti and Ralf Neubauer. It contains six contributions written especially for ‘Dear Earth,’ and two reprinted pieces. Recurring voices of students and editors relate the contributions. In this way, voices and positions were collected that reflect our time and generation at the Institut IXDM HGK Basel.
