Moderation of the event Weaving Networks: Encounters on Paper and Places in the context of lumbung of Publishers at documenta fifteen.
Language: English.
Weaving Networks was developed by C& together with the ifa - Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia as cooperation partners. The Weaving Networks project works with an association of publishers at documenta fifteen to develop innovative synergies and interconnections. The so-called lumbung of Publishers consists of a network of 21 independent publishers from all over the world and is based on common needs, values, visions and experiences.
In June, this group met in Kassel to occupy the ruruHaus and other spaces of the documenta fifteen public programme over three days. The aim was to connect lumbung with the local audience in Kassel and the ecosystems of its members. Questions around the challenges and potential of publishing, forms of distribution and collective creation are common themes of both projects.
On 8 July 2022, a live panel with the publishers HAMBRE (Camila González), Kayfa-ta (Ala Younis), Jatiwangi art factory (Bunga Siagian) and The Black Archives (Camille Parker) took place, which I moderated.
